How to use the Stretch command in AutoCAD ……
Many times users need to change the dimension of the object in AutoCAD. For example, users need to change the dimension of square, rectangle or line. Users do not need to make again the object. Users can stretch the object by using the stretch command in AutoCAD. Users need to select half portion of the object while using the stretch command in AutoCAD. If users select complete portion of the object. Stretch command will behavior like move command. So users need to take care
Stretch command or Change the dimension of the object.
1. Type S in the command line & press enter or take command from modify toolbar as shown in pic-1.
2. Select the object.

3. Specify the opposite corner of the object as shown in pic-2.

4. Specify the base point of the object as shown in pic-3.
Note:- Users may also give base point anywhere on the screen or on the object.

5. Specify the second point of the object as shown in pic-4.
Note:- Users may give the second point anywhere on the screen or may give any dimension. For example, if users want to change the dimension from 500 to 800. Put 300 in the command line & press enter to get 800 figure of the object.
